Yesterday was a fairly easy day. I got back from Taipei at 5am, so I slept in, and spend most of the morning writing my blog and calling some friends and family. I don't have much time to do that, so when I do, I have to take advantage of it.
There isn't too much to say about yesterday, because I wasn't as jam packed full! I left for school at 12:20, and had lunch at Coffee Drink again. It's become my favorite little place to eat! Their green tea (half sweet) is absolutely amazing and I wish I could bring it back with me. I may just have to ask for a recipe.
Then, Neon and I went to a class I've been looking forward to taking since I got here! We took a class from Jejuin Chan! She knows Jonathan, and has been to the CCM institute at our school over the summer before. Her class was presenting Wicked. They explained how it came to be, all about the book, the creative team, how long it took to create the show, and the storyline and characters. Lots of this, I already knew. I could understand what they were talking about because I know the story and I know some of the history. I did actually learn some things though!
They were asked to perform some songs from the show, and they did very well! I saw one performance of Defying Gravity, and then two of For Good. Then, I was asked to get up and sing. I sang, of course, Popular. I think they liked it! I hope to have another chance to sing for Jejuin. They have a production this week, so it's a maybe!
After class, I attended a quick big meeting. Neon and I didn't stay for too long. We went to check out the inside of the library, which was very cool. It's got 5 floors that are very nice! It as very clean line and pristine.
We went to have dinner and eat some street food. They called it "braised" food. It was very good, but very oily so I couldn't eat a lot of it. We also had a sweet desert food. All of this is traditional food, so most of the time, there is no english words for them. All very good! I will miss eating traditional food, for sure.
Soon after, I came home to work on some homework for Shenandoah school, and then went to sleep! Shin I arrived back from Taipei at like 10, and I had just fallen asleep. So we chatted for a couple minutes. I am really, really going to miss her! She is so sweet and I can't wait to go on a little "mini vacation" with her tomorrow!
