Dance 'Till You Drop!

Hey world!

It's nighttime, and I'm going to TAIPEI tomorrow! It's usually easier for me to post in the morning, because my attention span is much longer, but since we leave for Taipei tomorrow, I figured i'd go ahead and post now.

Today has been a great day! Shin I and I went down the street to get more turnip cake because I just had to have more. It's so stinking good!!! Then we left for school!

School today was a very good and long day. In comparison to SU, classes here are less frequent, but much longer. Today, I took modern for 3 hours in the morning from 9-12. The first hour was strictly yoga. Let me tell you... I don't know if I'm just out of practice or what, but yoga in Taiwan is much harder!! It was a true test of muscles and upper body strength mostly. The rest of the class was great! I really enjoyed this teacher. She was very sweet :)

I had a lunchbox of food waiting for me in the office today, which had a different type of rice, lots of nuts and some veggies. It was very good! Shin I went to pick me up some green tea... my favorite! I can now say green tea in Chinese very well; mostly because I love the stuff and it's so stinking good!

After lunch, I had two classes with the same teacher. He was actually quite strict. The first class was Kung Fu. YES YOU HEARD ME I SAID KUNG FU. Yeah, I took kung fu today. It was so cool. I wasn't too good at it, but I enjoyed it a lot! There was a lot of hand things that I just didn't understand. That class was two hours long. The next class was Ballet. I, of course, love ballet. The teacher was very good. By the last 30 minutes of class, I'd been dancing for 7 hours and my brain was a little fried. I really messed up the petit allegro section, which is usually my favorite. That wasn't fun, but one little mistake really isn't too bad :). I frequently have to remind myself of that.

Right after class, I had to get on the road to go see Neon perform at a local bar in Downtown Kaohsiung. It was a cool atmosphere. For dinner, I had seafood! Finally, some meat I can actually eat. Neon and his band were amazing! They even dedicated a song for me. Several of his band mates asked me in broken english if I was "free tonight" and I couldn't help but laugh! I'm taken, boys! It was very funny and sweet! :)

That was the day! I'm now at home, and I'm gonna pack and shower before leaving tomorrow for a night! I'll use my new roll stick I got at the night market to roll my muscles out. I hope everyone in America has a great day!! To my SU friends... happy spring break!!
